Playwrights are invited to submit short plays for a possible production in "Montana Short Cuts", a suite of ten-minute plays to be presented at the 2020 Last Chance New Play Fest. Plays must be original work, not previously produced or published, and written on the theme "Gender Bender." Pieces must work with minimal sets and require no more than four actors. LCNPF Partners with Free Ceramics

ETC is pleased to announce a new partnership with Free Ceramics. Free Ceramics will serve as the host venue for the 5th Last Chance New Play Fest, to be presented November 2-11, 2018. Free Ceramics is a studio, gallery, and art space that is a unique Helena resource and a wonderful performance space.

MAC Grant

ETC is proud to announce that the Montana Arts Council has awarded a grant to the Last Chance New Play Festival to help expand the audience for the 2017 Fest.

Auditions

Auditions for the 3rd Annual Last Chance New Play Fest will be held at Conference Room 003, Helena City College from 6:30-9:30pm on Wednesday September 14 and Thursday September 15th. We will be casting actors for all Fest projects.

New Fall Schedule

For the past two years, the LCNPF has been held in the spring. However, we've decided that it's better for the productions if we move the Fest to fall. That means that 2016 will see an all new set of plays in November, and the Fest productions will continue in the fall for future years.

Thanks to all of you who attended and made the 2nd Annual Last Chance New Play Fest a success. We've packed up the risers, taken down the flats, and disassembled the stage. All are in storage waiting for the next incarnation of the Fest. Hope to see you then!

The Fest is underway!

The first weekend of the Fest was a sucess, and we're continuing to perform. Each of the plays will be produced again between now and Sunday. Don't miss it!

Auditions for LCNPF

Auditions for the Last Chance New Play Festival will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 512 Logan Street, Helena, MT on February 15, 2016, beginning at 6:30pm. Everyone signed up to attend will recieve an email more details including a list of characters needed to fill any roles needed for the submitted projects.

Call for Projects

Projects may include any original material that can be performed in front of an audience but principally 10 minute, one acts and full-length plays written by playwrights currently living in Montana or having lived in Montana. Other project ideas may include but are not limited to improvisational groups, singer/songwriters, and performances of original monologues. If your project does not fit the current scope of the festival, we'll let you know. (and explain why).
